Where's Kiefer?

Checked on the boys when I woke up this morning and didn't see Kiefer on his bed. Neither was he on the sofa downstairs or in Ah Gong's room. Was wondering where he disappeared to. Went back into their room to check and found that he was sleeping on the floor in the tiny space between the chest of drawers and Kieran's bed.

On the Butterfly Park excursion

This was what Kiefer said to me as I was looking at the kindy's letter, informing me about an excursion to the Butterfly Park:

Mummy, can I borrow money to go to the butterfly park?

Birthmark

Kiefer has a little birthmark on his right ankle.

K: can you wash away (pointing to the 5c sized spot on his ankle while I was bathing him just now)
M: No Kief, that's your birthmark. Cannot be washed off.
K: cannot? it is to protect me?
M: yes Kief. Who taught you that the birthmark protects you?
K: uncertain for a while and then said "Daddy"

but daddy didn't teach him that. Wonder who did or if he thought that up himself.

This happened just 5 minutes ago.

Kiefer: Daddy, somebody drew on the iPad.
Daddy: is it you?
Kiefer: no, it's not me. it's *awkward pause* somebody.
Daddy: I think I know that somebody.
Kiefer: no it's not me. it's somebody who made it dirty. 

And I was just sitting on the other end, trying to control my giggles!!

Can you hold my b...er!

Kiefer (in his car seat): Mummy, can you hold my booger?
Me: No
Kiefer: it's a small booger
Me: No, I still do not want it.
:P

I can't remember if I've blogged this before. But since I am laughing about it now, I am going to put it down so that I'll remember it for years to come.

Yes, he gets confused by the words and thus he just fits them with whatever familiar words he knows. And in this case, he puts the 3 little pig story into his song!! :P

The daddy did a high speed sharp turn on the road, after which #1 commented:

Like a race car!"

K1: Can you buy tickets to watch (the F1 races)?
me: I've got no money, the tickets are very expensive. Do you have money?
K1: then i have to find money. I can find money. I can find money from YOU! :P

What a week(s)!

Everything started with Kieran being a little sick, then me coming down with a bad case of cough and cold and losing my voice and then Hubby with the hearing problem. Then Kiefer got a viral infection somehow last weekend and had high fever all through the weekend. The fever only abated after about 3 days and right now, he is still recovering from the post-viral rash! (and yes, hopefully everything subsides by tomorrow! It's our little baby's 1st birthday tomorrow!! :D) We simply went through cycles of being sick, recovering partially and falling ill again. :(

However, the most 'memorable' incident to happen this week would really be the one where Kieran puked right onto Daddy's face! I think he was nursing a mild flu bug (that was barely noticeable except for the lousy appetite) at that time. He was just finishing up his milk when he suddenly complained that he had a tummyache. As I was trying to get Kiefer to sleep at that time, I called for the Daddy to come in to take him to the toilet. The Daddy carried him and without any warning, from the corner of my eye, I saw this projectile spray coming out from Kieran and onto Daddy's face!! The next thing I saw was Daddy's face (nose, mouth, everything), shirt was covered with puke. The sheets got it, the floor had it, the comforter was also marked. In the end, both father and son simply marched off to the bathroom and hosed down. And me? I had to strip everything and start the laundry going at 10pm at night! It took 3 loads of laundry to get everything cleaned! Also, I had to mop the floor too! After this entire episode, all Kieran said was "Mummy, Yakult please?" :P

PS: it was such a Kodak moment, but if I were to go get the camera instead of attending to them, I was sure to get an earful!! :P

Rolled over or slid down?

Fer was lying in the MIDDLE of the queen sized mattress when I left the room to go attend to Kieran who was crying (he just woke up from his reluctantly-taken nap). When I returned to the room in less than 2 minutes later...

Anyway, as Kieran would say.. "fall down"... :P He somehow managed to slide off the mattress and landed nicely on his bum! He just sat there and waited. I didn't hear him cry or anything. In fact he even had a cheeky smile for me when I came into the room and saw him in that position! As I was getting the camera, he started sliding lower and lower. His head would have reached the ground if I were to leave him be for another minute! :P

It was funny, but now gotta start watching out for him and putting up all the bed rails...
